With events Tuesday–Sunday, June 2–7, Student Arts Week celebrates the dedicated work and creative achievements during the 2025–26 academic year.

2026 Student Art Show

The PUB Gallery of Art, Pirate Union Building, Port Angeles CampusThe annual Student Art Show celebrates the creativity, vision, and voices of our current students, featuring a dynamic collection of artwork across all mediums and genres. All Peninsula College students enrolled during the 2025–26 academic year are eligible to submit up to three original works of art. From painting, sculpture, photography, and digital media to experimental and interdisciplinary works, the exhibition highlights the incredible range of talent being produced on campus. This juried showcase offers students the opportunity to share their work with the college and community while honoring innovation, skill, and artistic exploration.

Digital Storytelling Demonstration & Showcase

Join via Zoom • Passcode: 216546Drop in anytime for our Digital Storytelling Showcase on the Transformational Trails, an interactive experience created by students as part of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) Hub immersive engagement project. Students from our three Multimedia Communications Digital Storytelling courses will share the virtual learning environment they designed to help new learners explore campus resources, opportunities, and support systems in creative, engaging ways. This long running project highlights student innovation and teamwork, giving you a firsthand look at how storytelling, design, and technology can make starting college easier, encouraging, and more inspiring.

Celebrate the outstanding achievements of Honors students as they present their Capstone Projects—original works developed through a year of critical inquiry, creativity, and scholarship.

Jazz Ensemble Spring Concert
7:00 pm, Maier Performance HallThe jazz ensemble, directed by Marge Rosen, will perform a diverse selection of jazz, including classic works by Freddie Hubbard, Bobby Troupe, Milt Jackson, and Lee Morgan, along with a contemporary piece by Ellen Rowe. The group features vocalist Robbin Eaves and instrumentalists from across the North Olympic Peninsula.

Storytelling in Photojournalism Final Projects
11:45 am–1:00 pm, Pirate Union BuildingPhotojournalism Storytelling boards will be shared by students and an educator to reveal beauty across the Peninsula and a crisis to address. Award-winning work will be interpreted and explained by the creators from Introduction to Photojournalism (CMST 121) and Advanced Photojournalism (CMST 122, 123) courses.

This year’s presentation will begin with Honors Student Brianna Palenik, sharing her play The Hands at Twelve & Twelve: A Murder Mystery. The Annual English Essay Award winners will then read from their works.
13th Annual Moving Pictures Film Festival & Multimedia Honors Projects

Join via ZoomThe 13th Annual Peninsula College Moving Pictures Film Festival highlights the creativity and storytelling skills of Peninsula College students and alumni through powerful short films. You’ll also hear directly from Multimedia Communications students and Honors Projects creators, Tom Buscher and Janine Miller, during a Q&A about what it’s like to take digital storytelling and video production courses at Peninsula College. These classes focus on real world impact, helping students use media to raise awareness, uplift voices, and create meaningful connections.

Open-to-the-Public Fantasy Photoshoot
3:30–4:30 pm, Keegan Hall, M-134Peninsula College photography students present an open-to-the-public, fantasy-inspired outdoor photoshoot with a model, using natural light, and creative props. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the setup for expressive, stylized portraits. Expect a fun, creative experience.

$15 General Admission • Free for Current Peninsula College StudentsWhen the clock strikes midnight, a murder takes place at Evelyn Williams’ birthday party. As the suspects are questioned, tensions rise, secrets are unearthed, and the day’s twisted events are revealed. As each recollection of the day is brought to light, the different memories layer onto each other, crafting a path to the killer.
